Our daughter Mollie wrote a story while living in Paris. She was infatuated with the Paris catacombs and toured them a number of times. Raves even took place in the tunnels beneath the streets late at night where artists adorned the walls with graffiti and street art. Thus Oscar Bones came to be.
Here you can see a few rough page layouts, as Mollie and I worked out the pagination and images needed to tell the story. Next to the rough is the finished illustration which will have an AR component to pop Oscar off the page.
While visiting our daughter in Paris, I was able to get a first hand look and collect reference of the catacombs. This was a great help in composing the pages and portaying the feel of the bone lined winding tunnels.
We are working on the 3D Oscar for the augmented reality feature and hope to get this book out soon.
